The Democratic Alliance (DA) today announced its candidates for both ward and proportional representation councillor positions in Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality.
According to Buffalo City Constituency Leader Kevin Mileham MP, the candidates the DA has selected “represent a rich diversity, from all walks of life, and bring a combination of specific skills, youthful energy, and local government experience to the table.”
According to Mileham, the candidates were selected after a rigorous interview and assessment process that included an evaluation of their work in the community.
The DA has proposed candidates in every ward of Buffalo City, including previous “no-go” areas, where political intolerance and intimidation had prevented robust campaigning.
“We have no fear in presenting the DA’s vision for a prosperous, fair and free South Africa anywhere in Buffalo City,” said Mileham.
He further noted that branches had been functioning effectively across the metro and that the Party had shown consistent growth.
“We are confident that our candidates represent the best our communities have to offer, and will lead the way in demonstrating the DA’s commitment to service delivery to all the citizens of Buffalo City,” said Mileham.
