The artEC, Same Size, Same Price, No Signature Exhibition, started by well known Gallerist and artist Tossie Theron, at her Cuyler Street Gallery and now held at artEC, is a not to be missed annual event, on the Eastern Cape art’s calendar. This year the funding, received from the National Lottery Distribution Trust Fund, will assist with the opening function and marketing of the event. ArtEC (EPSAC) received R749,00 from NLDTF in July 2010, for various projects.

The exhibition, held at the artEC (EPSAC), Bird Street Gallery, in Central. Same Size, Same Price attracts crowds of art investors and art connoisseurs annualy, each hoping to purchase a ‘Name’ at a bargain price!

Potential buyers begin queuing outside the gallery from as early as 3pm and doors are only opened at 5:30pm. Buyers could be buying an Erasmus, a Harris, a Moolman-Heath, a Hauser, Badenhorst, Dold, Kerr or possibly even a Brink?

Paintings, all the same size, 250mm x 350mm have been received from professional and amateur artists. artEC are not saying who is who. The paintings will only be signed, by the artists, at the closing of the exhibition.

All the paintings are priced at R750 and this is an opportunity to purchase a possible art investment.

The exhibition opens at 5:30 on the 15th February and closes at 1pm on Friday 25th February.

artEC Gallery Times: 10am to 4pm Tuesday to Friday and 10am to 1pm Saturday. Closed Monday, Sunday and public holidays.
