Join Port Elizabeth and MyPE in congratulating Mover and Shaker, Andrew Binning from Inkanyezi:

Inkanyezi Events’ CEO Andrew Binning was voted in as the new Deputy Chairman of the Exhibition and Events Association of Southern Africa (EXSA) board.

The announcement was made at EXSA’s national AGM in February.

Binning, who is also the Chair of the Organisers’ Forum of EXSA, is the only Eastern Cape board member representing a sector dominated by Gauteng, Durban and Cape Town.

Binning said it was significant that the Eastern Cape, which is lagging behind bigger South African cities in the events sector, was represented on the national body.

“Income flows resulting from exhibitions and events represents a substantial opportunity for economic stimulation. It is my desire to attract this market’s attention to the Eastern Cape as a viable event location,” Binning said.

With an Eastern Cape base, Binning established Inkanyezi Events in 1998, as a “one-man band” and has developed the company into playing a leading role in events and exhibitions nationally and internationally.

Inkanyezi’s South African Automotive Week, in 2012 was voted SA’s Best Confex and continues to facilitate more than R40 in new trade for the automotive manufacturing sector p/a. The 6th edition will take place in Tshwane in October, with local , national and global participation. For more info see www.saaw.co.za

Inkanyezi is also facilitating the 2nd Eastern Cape Maritime Summit from October 26-28 at Hemingways in East London this year. For more info www.maritimesummit.co.za

Other exhibitions, corporate launches, strategic communications, graphic design and stakeholder relations, enables Inkanyezi to offer unmatched support to companies seeking to reach and gain new markets, through its communication efforts.

“While the Eastern Cape is economically disadvantaged, there is no excuse for private and government partners here not to expand their vision and efforts to stimulate the exhibition and events sector,” Binning said.

Neil Nagooroo of Sandton Convention Centre is the new EXSA Chairman.
