Springbok Coach Allister Coetzee at the first media conference in Port Elizabeth ahead of the test against Argentina on 19 August 2017 at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium. – Taken by the Editor whilst wandering aimlessly about pretending to be in the know.
Some Quotes from tyhe Coach:
- PE is not called the ‘Friendly City’ for nothing.
- Curwin (Bosch) has really done well, he is a talented guy and will play for the Springboks.
- Siya, Elton and Beast are all in the Springbok leadership pack.
- On the Pro14 – a great opportunity for players with interesting challenges like playing summer and winter.
- I want to see more effort and intensity in the way the Springboks play. The game is getting faster and more physical.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth.
Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."
