The WESSA Algoa Bay Branch November 2023 alien clearing will be on Saturday 11 November 2023 at Sardinia Bay from 09:00 – 11:00. This will be the last alien clearing of 2023.
We continue with our efforts to stem the spread of the Rooikrans alien invader in this beautiful spot. This invasive species is still seriously threatening the sensitive indigenous bush. The objective is to eradicate these alien plants and give the local vegetation a good chance to recover and re-establish itself. Your time and effort over the past months is proving most effective and is always much appreciated.
Bring your own bow saw or lopper (if possible), hat, water and gloves. We will meet at the Sardinia Bay carpark. The view of the Sardinia Bay coastline from the dunes is stunning.
