Algoa FM raising funds for PPE for needy pupils:
Algoa Country listeners in the Buffalo City region will still be able to make a contribution on Mandela Day despite the lockdown social distancing regulations.
Grade 7’s at Sinomonde Primary School as well as grade 12’s at Mzuvukile High school in the Buffalo city area will be supplied with personal protective equipment (PPE) through an Algoa FM Mandela Day fundraising drive.
This is to ensure that the learners are able to protect themselves during the pandemic.
“These schools have been identified as two of the most under-resourced schools in the Buffalo city area, and as a station we decided to raise funds for PPE so that the learners can continue studying”, says Algoa FM marketing manager Lesley Geyer.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world- Nelson Mandela.
