The following 10-point plan is based upon the Abantu Integrity Movement’s collective understanding of the needs of Nelson Mandela Bay’s residents.
But we need you to hear your voice on this. What detailed plans would you like to see under each of the points? How can we AIM 4 Change?
Send us your ideas and feedback to help us put the residents of NMB first. Or email: plan4nmb@aim4change.org.za
Together we can AIM 4 Change.
| City-Region Vision: The Abantu Integrity Movement aims to implement a new vision for Nelson Mandela Bay which will guide the development of our Metro into a business and lifestyle city-region of choice. | |
| Council: As a new NMB-focused independent party, we aim to put into place a credible and competent council of public representatives which will make the interests of Nelson Mandela Bay’s residents its foremost objective. | |
| Municipality: Under the guidance of Khusta Jack, we will create an enabling environment for the emergence of a professional, customer-focused municipal administration and workforce that will put service to the people of NMB first. | |
| Service Delivery and Infrastructure: As an NMB residents’ movement it is our goal to jack up service delivery and ramp up maintenance and development of Nelson Mandela Bay’s infrastructure so that it meets the needs of residents, current business operators and potential investors. | |
| Economic Development: As an NMB focused political party, we AIM to leverage the Metro’s assets, natural attributes, infrastructure and residents’ talents to boost economic development and job creation within Nelson Mandela Bay. | |
| Community Development: We will Aim 4 Change by implementing programmes that will ensure the development of a safe, secure and healthy community while maintaining a focus on moral regeneration within Nelson Mandela Bay. | |
| Environmental Stewardship: The Abantu Integrity Movement aims to conduct all municipal business in a manner that is eco-sensitive and protects our environment for the benefit of future generations. This includes a commitment to both sustainable development and collective stewardship of the city region’s natural resources that ensures community participation within Nelson Mandela Bay. | |
| Fiscal Discipline: With NMB resident’s interests in mind, we AIM to manage the Municipality’s financial resources prudently and adhere to clearly defined budgetary and performance management objectives for the future of Nelson Mandela Bay. | |
| Youth and Woman Development: We AIM to drive programmes that will keep the Nelson Mandela Bay youth off the streets and out of the courts, through a focus on skills development and sports participation by providing them with a resource base that allows them to seek out future opportunities. | |
| External Relations: As an NMB focused independent movement, we AIM to enhance and maintain relations with key stakeholders in the private sector and other spheres of government with the aim of creating a best-practice city-region and an investor-friendly destination within Nelson Mandela Bay. |
