On the occasion of the Eastern Cape’s first ever Virtual Exhibition presented by Inkanyezi we asked exhibitors their opinions on the event and on business in general with specific reference to the Lockdown.
Melissa Boyce from Addo Dung Beetle Guest Farm exhibiting in Hall 2 Stand 87 shared these thoughts with MyPE:
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? As it was the first ever before Virtual Event online, it was a good beginning.
We did get a few visitors, but not a lot.
Some hiccups here and there, which is expected for the first time.
I had mic problems, could hear everyone, don’t know if it was on my side or not…did not have time to check that out.
Further all was good and it can just get better with time.
Hope the best for the future.
What has been your experience of this Virtual Event? Too soon to tell
Other than your own stand, which exhibitor here is a ‘MUST VISIT’? Brochure Management, ABSA
Your message to the organisers, Inkanyezi? Really do hope the best and hope this just gets bigger and better.
Maybe think of keeping all same type of businesses on the same hall/section.
Please share successful actions you have taken for your business during Lockdown? We are not open yet, as hospitality can only accommodate business at this moment and not leisure.
I think concentrating on online (FB/Instagram) marketing is for now the best.
Any suggestions on how to survive and thrive during and post Lockdown? Focusing on locals and bringing down your prices at the moment, so that it can cater for South Africans as they are the ones that will be keeping our doors open at this moment, or for the rest of the year 2020.
