Dear MyPE
Hopefully, the Department of Education will be publishing the Names of Matriculants who have made it from this year onwards. Otherwise, it might as well stop wasting Taxpayers’ money through buying publishing space from media houses and showing meaningless numbers to the general public. What is the whole point in the long run anyway as the matriculant knows his/her number, which is meaningless to the public and is repeated on their matric certificates anyway?
The apprehensive matriculants should take comfort in the fact that most people who are supremely interested in Matric Results never made it to Matric or have spiteful motives for their inadequate achievements, let alone being able to read information from the Chappies bubble gum “Did You Know?” wrappers. Self-confident super-achievers are rarely interested in celebrating other people’s shortcomings.
