2017 Happy
Because 2017’s happy is different from 2016’s happy, right?
Greetings everyone, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This being my first post of the year, I finally get to wish you all a happy and very prosperous 2017.
The title of this post is 2017 Happy because, well as the new year comes in, many of us gain new insight and perspective.. Well so did I.
Those of you who know me personally will know that I had a bit of a rough 2016, so I decided that 2017 will be a happier year, regardless of what I go through.. I choose to choose happiness .. I hope you will too.
So here’s to a Happy 2017!

Moving right along..
I spoke to you (last year) about colour and trying out new colour schemes along with new styles and fashions.
Staying true to my word, I’ve decided to add a little more colour to my wardrobe. Yes, I’m starting off very slowly and easing myself into it, but so far so good.

I recently connected with my very first, and all time favorite photographer, Kharla-Rose Williams (From KIMBERLEY, ZA) and we created this:

Pants: Foschini
Shoes: Luella (Foschini)
With this look, I decided to keep it very simple (as per all my outfits) with regards to the colour scheme, so that I could add the pop of colour and bold pattern with the Light spring coat.
This spring coat is a convenient piece. It’s beautiful but also very functional. It’s great for an over the shoulder throw when it gets chilly, but also adds weight to a very bland outfit.

I know some of you are very hesitant about the “adding color to your wardrobe” story, so let me tell you HOW TO ADD COLOUR TO YOUR OUTFITS WHEN YOU DONT REALLY WANT TO:
- Start off small. By this I mean start small and wear a shirt or top that has some sort of colour or pattern in it. This way, its not too much, but its SOMETHING (bright and different).
- When choosing out something (clothing item) with a pattern, choose something where the dominant colour is a neutral colour. That makes styling the outfit easier.
- First test out the bold colours you might want to try out. Different skin tones are complimented by certain colours and others not, so make sure you test out and try on items BEFORE purchasing them!

Thank you for stopping by. Have a wonderful week!

Warm and festive greetings to you all!
I hope you all had an amazing Christmas spent with loved ones. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to. I was in hospital fighting the symptoms of a nasty blood infection. Blegh.
All is well now and I’m making a steady recovery.
Moving right along, this being my last post for the year, I wanted to do something a little different. Very cool, but different….

ADI COOL= ADIDAS COOL
Those of you who know the inside of my closet, know that my favorite sportswear brand is Adidas. If i could incorporate Adidas into my everyday wear, I would…
I just happen to be more of a tight pants and blouse type of girl.
Here, I stayed true to my chic fashion niche by pairing this oversized Adidas Tee with a pair of jeans and a block heel.

I invited my very cool fashionista of a brother Tlhalefang Pharasi ( who happens to be a high end sneaker purveyor) to style out with me, considering the fact that he’s more of an Adi fan than I am. ( can you tell?)

A quick word on how to style UP your sports wear:
- When trying to style UP your casual sports wear, always pair the outfit with a pair of heels. Very simple heels.
- Less is always best. My general styling is usually very minimal, but this look will require that. A simple Tee, pants/leggings and heels and you’re good to go.
- Alternatively you can rock this oversized Tee as a dress, pair it with a block heel and you’re done!

From Myself and my brother, We wish you a Happy and very PROSPEROUS New YEAR,
STAY JIGGY, STAY GORGEOUS, STAY FLAWLESS
Blessings Xx
