On 31 January 2011 the Ronald Macdonald statue was taken from a Helsinki restaurant by two men posing as maintenance personnel. (Proves once again that you can get in anywhere past security by carrying a ladder and a toolbox!)
A group calling itself the Food Liberation Army has claimed responsibility for “kidnapping” a statue of the McDonald’s food chain mascot Ronald McDonald and has threatened to “execute” the figure on Friday 11 February at 6:30 p.m. if their demands are not met.
The group posted a video on YouTube where balaclava-clad “terrorists”, holding the clown statue with a bag over its head, demanded that the world’s largest food chain answer questions about its corporate responsibility and food production.
“We love burgers, fries and McDonald’s, but we can no longer watch in silence as the food we love is being destroyed and brought to shame because of greed and indifference,” one of the “terrorists” said, speaking in Finnish.
Towards the end of the video the “terrorist” says; “Listen to our message and we will reward you by eating more of your burgers!” and then he signs off by saying; “Silence will be interpreted as a negative answer. Have a nice day”

I’m Lovin’ It – have a look at the FLA logo to the left. Now take a closer look.
Still can’t see it?
Now pick up your monitor and turn it upside down moron. There, can you see it now? Okay, okay, put me back the right way around NOW, PLEASE.

Classic – anyone want to join me in hijacking an oil tank, maybe a manganese ore ship or how about hijacking the last cellphone user contracted to Autopage (Yup, the horrible Autopage has reared it’s stinking maw once again and I am engaged in mortal combat).
