16-days to apply for financial support at NMMU

22 September 2014 By Alan Straton

Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University Missionvale Campus staff and students will assist learners with no access to funds to further their education by facilitating the process of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) online application, starting on 29 September.

This 16-day campaign until 23 October is part of a broader campus community engagement initiative to help grade 12 learners apply to NSFAS for the first time.

Online applications for NSFAS can be undertaken from Monday to Thursday between 15:00 and 16:00 in the computer lab in Building 519, Room 0012, on the Missionvale Campus.

Learners must bring the following:

  • NMMU letter or SMS of acceptance indicating student number starting with S215.
  • NMMU SMS referring to the placement test indicating student number starting with S215.
  • All documents required by NSFAS

Grade 12 learners from high schools in Nelson Mandela Bay can call Ms Nosi Mrara on 041 504 1242 to make use of this opportunity. Booking an appointment is preferable but not compulsory.
