At the risk of you clicking away in carnivore disgust I will try and make this quick.
Going to any restaurant for me as a vegan is oftentimes a quiet nightmare sifting through the menu items searching for an appropriate meal.
Then engaging with the wait staff is also a bit of a nightmare as most do not know the difference between a vegetarian and a vegan (FYI: Vegetarians do eat dairy and eggs – sometimes – whilst vegans eschew all animal products).
Now fast food restaurants are also a bit of a hit and miss if you are Vegan so what happens is that vegans tend to cling to known restaurants that accommodate their lifestyle.
Throw no alcohol and no sugar into the mix as well and you have a recipe for rolled eyes and sighs of exasperation from fellow diners as I try to navigate my way to a suitable choice from any menu.
It just so happens that we walked at Panarottis at the Boardwalk for the umpteenth time last night whilst looking for somewhere to get a bite to eat.
Enquiring at the front desk if there were any vegan options was a bit disappointing as the answer was not completely 100%.

BUT, after taking delivery of the menu I was quite blown away – a whole page dedicated to vegan options PLUS one could elect to swap ingredients on other meals for plant based ingredients where available.
We ordered a margarita pizza and an Arrabiata with Fettuccine.
The Arrabiata came with vegan mozzarella, garlic and chilies on the side and was slurped up in no time.
The pizza could have done with a bit more tomato sauce but was delicious.
At around a hundred bucks each the meals were pronounced well worth it.
I know that I will be back to try more of the vegan delights off of the Panarottis menu.
