Marolien Schmidt qualified from Stellenbosch University in 2005. As a child growing up in a medical home environment she developed an interest and a passion in helping people and relieving pain. In 2010 she was appointed as 1 of only 25 Pain Ambassadors by the IASP (International Association for the Study of Pain). She can now educate the public and other health professionals in how to understand pain better.
