The Eastern Cape Oncology Centre is situated in the park-like setting of the renowned St George Park and directly above Settlers’ Park, with peacocks roaming around freely on the grounds. The unit was established in 1994 and is attached to the St George’s Hospital, where most specialities are represented on site. The unit is known for the pioneer work it did in GVI Oncology to establish clinical trials within the group and is also fortunate to have a dedicated 14-bed ward directly adjacent to it.
