Christmas lights have kept sparkling well into the new year for 100 disadvantaged children in Port Elizabeth. They were given new hard-wearing leather school shoes purchased with funds raised by The Boardwalk's annual Christmas carols and sparkler event yesterday, 5 February 2014 at The Boardwalk. Sparkler sales on the evening of Wednesday, December 18 raised R7 495. The Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber invites businesses around the Bay to join its members and Top 40 Under 40 achievers in observing One Day Without Shoes and in collecting new kids and school shoes in support of children without shoes.
