Warriors v Dolphins

5 January 2016 By Alan Straton Leave a Comment

The Warriors kick off 2016 with their 3rd Sunfoil Series match against the Dolphins in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday.

After a loss to the Lions at the end of last year the Warriors will be wanting to consolidate and focus on getting the basics right going into the new year.

Sisanda Magala is currently being treated for a side strain and will miss this match.  Ngazibini Sigwili will replace him. Also in is Brad Dolley who returns to the team in place of Jerry Nqolo who is not available due to a family bereavement.

The squad is as follows: Colin Ackermann, Andrew Birch, Brad Dolley, Clyde Fortuin, Aya Gqamane, Simon Harmer, Colin Ingram, Thandolwethu Mnyaka, Ngazibini Sigwili, Somila Seyibokwe, Yaseen Vallie, Basheer Walters and David White.

Passionate about Port Elizabeth and definitely NOT packing for Perth. Alan's ethos is epitomised in the words of Nelson Mandela; "I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the idea of a democratic and free society. If need be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die." See more articles by Alan.
