South African Music Award (SAMA) winner, Jack Parow will be performing at this year’s SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees for the first time.
Parow will be embracing his wild on the Adventure Province Main Stage on Friday, followed by Theuns Jordaan.
Parow’s wildly successful career started over a decade ago when he rapped with crews from the Cape Flats.
It was his collaboration with Die Heuwels Fantasties on the track “Die Vraagstuk” with its funky video that brought him to the attention of the broader public in 2009 and the release of his successful self-titled full length album that struck gold within two weeks of its release and went platinum within a year.
In 2011 Parow released his second full length album “Eksie Ou” under his own label, Parowphernalia. This album reached Gold status in sales within four months of its release.
His creativity continued to be noticed by other artists both locally and internationally. As he went on to collaborate with artists such as Freshly Ground, Riky Rick, Radio Kalahari Orkes, Die Heuwels Fantasties and De Kraaien.
Other artists who will be embracing their wild on Friday include: Chantelle Bosch, Gerhard Pace, Brendan Peyper, Riana Nel, Radio Kalahari Orkes and Theuns Jordaan.
The SPAR Kirkwood Wildsfees is an annual festival and this year it will run from Friday, June 30 and finishes on Sunday, July 2.
