South African Excellence – @MbalulaFikile take note – #RaceFreeMonth: First up was our embattled Sports Minister who came to our attention after he tweeted a raunchy image of a nubile young lady – claiming later that his account had been hacked – we suggested the following solution for him – #Mbaks Twitter Twoggles….
What Baleka Mbete actually meant – #RaceFreeMonth: A lesson is for the honourable Baleka Mbete who is Speaker for the National Assembly and Chairperson of the African National Congress. She also serves as a member of Parliament and is a member of the Constitutional Assembly and has previously served as the Deputy President of South Africa….
More laws will institutionalise racism even further – #RaceFreeMonth: An example – my son attended a well known school in Port Elizabeth and brought a general letter home that required my signature. This letter asked for his parents to give permission for the school to search his locker and person. It transpires that the concern was about a looming drug problem and the school intended asking the SAPS to bring dogs onto the grounds. Did I sign the circular? NO! Reason…
Sorry FW – you started well then failed – #RaceFreeMonth: FW said; “Blacks see this [white bubble] as unconscious racial superiority. The attitude of many blacks towards white South Africans is becoming harsher and more uncompromising. Many believe whites stole the land… and their relative prosperity is based not on hard work and enterprise.” Alan said; “Judgmental FW, judgmental.”….
The apologetic racist – #RaceFreeMonth:
THIS article was the MOST READ of the entire series.
Is celebrating Chinese New Year out? #RaceFreeMonth: 8 February 2016 was Chinese New Year and we welcomed all our readers to the year of the Fire Monkey by saying; “Gong xi fa cai!”. How many people died under apartheid – #RaceFreeMonth – SEO Racism: Out of the 11 400 000 results that Google thought relevant I ask you with tears in my eyes how can the very first result (titled: How many blacks died under Apartheid?) be relevant to my wanting to know how many ‘People’?…
Statements against Racism – #RaceFreeMonth: With so much being said about race and the evils of racism we went in search of statements made by prominent individuals and political parties to do with racism – judge for ourself if the proper words are being said…..
The divisive power of a label – #RaceFreeMonth: Oh how naive we were when we started the name calling and resorted to the lowest of the low – a racial classification. The ordinary man when slapped will retaliate by slapping back. Very few will have the emotional intelligence to resolve being slapped in a peaceful manner….
I don’t think rallying around National Symbols is the whole answer – #RaceFreeMonth: With the greatest respect Honourable Minister Bathabile Dlamini your utterances demand a reply; “Government is tasked with the simplest of things – Create an enabling environment for our citizens to thrive.” So, lets for a year or two create the greatest experiment ever conducted and, in the Words of Pink Floyd; “Tear down the walls!”…
Racism will destroy SA – #RaceFreeMonth: Racism will consume South Africa unless something is done soon, Freedom Front Plus leader Pieter Mulder said in the National Assembly on Wednesday. “Currently the sparks of racism are being thrown into dry grass everywhere,” Mulder said in reply to President Jacob Zuma’s State of the Nation Address….
Religion on Racism – #RaceFreeMonth: The Bible itself condemns racism as a sin and spiritual illness. The New Testament affirms that Christ is in all, and that every individual is unified in God regardless of status, origin, or race. Likewise, the Qur’an is scattered with verses that dissolve racism, condemning racial hierarchies in the practice of Islam. According to the Islamic faith, the presence of diversity on Earth is shown to be evidence of God’s hand in creation….

Racial! Really? – #RaceFreeMonth: In September 2014, son of Port Elizabeth, cricketer Ashwell Prince was slagged off by a frustrated Andrew Gale after reportedly calling Prince a “f**king Kolpak” during the Roses clash at Old Trafford. Now this is where it gets interesting as ‘Kolpak’ is shorthand for a band of overseas players who utilise an obscure employment law to play in England without restriction. Where it gets even more interesting is that the England and Wales Cricket Board’s investigation included enquiries into whether there was a racist element to the verbal attack or not. Where it gets even more interesting is examining ….
