Sunday Water Shutdown – Affected Areas

Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality would like inform residents and businesses that water will be shut off at Gelvandale Reservoir this Saturday 7 July early morning to carry out a permanent repair on the 700mm water pipeline that was damaged.

Areas affected:

  • Helenvale
  • Algoa Park
  • Kwaford
  • Gelvandale
  • Zwide
  • Dora Nginza Hospital
  • Kwazakhele
  • Veeplaas
  • Govan Mbeki Township
  • Soweto on Sea
  • Qaqawuli
  • Mk Silvertown
  • Parts of New Brighton
  • Parts of Deal Party

Water Tankers will be arranged for the affected areas. For the location of the tankers, residents are requested to call 0800 20 5050
