www.MyPE.co.za: Last week was the first week we have seen an increase in dam levels for many months and today’s newly released figures show a 1.1% increase in dam levels on last weeks figures of 31.64% of combined total capacity.
Dam levels as at 28 December 2010 (Rainfall 20 to 28 December 2010 in brackets):
- Kouga: 34,30% (13,7mm)
- Churchill: 32,30% (4,8mm)
- Impofu: 27,60% (5,6mm)
- Loerie: 61,20% (5,9mm)
- Groendal: 49,50% (41,0mm)
- Average all: 32,74% of total combined capacity.
Although there has been some inflow into the dams, the situation still remains critical.
