When the Isuzu Southern Kings take on Welsh side, Dragons, on Sunday, April 7, the match will coincide with the Ironman 2019 event taking place concurrently in Nelson Mandela Bay.
With a number of road closures set to be implemented across the city – particularly the suburb of Summerstrand, where both events will be taking place – the Isuzu Southern Kings would like to assure spectators who intend on making their way to the NMU Madibaz Stadium that the venue will be easily accessible on the day.
All road closures for the day are accessible on the following Ironman link:
ROUTE TO NMU MADIBAZ STADIUM
Spectators going to Madibaz Stadium are advised to use the following route:
Travel on 3rd Avenue, Walmer, towards the Port Elizabeth Airport
Continue straight and pass the Port Elizabeth Airport on Allister Miller Drive
Turn right onto La Roche Drive, passing Forest Hill
Turn right onto Strandfontein Road near old Boet Erasmus Stadium
Continue on Strandfontein Road, then turn left onto Gomery Avenue
Continue straight and then turn right onto University Way
Continue straight into the NMU South Campus entrance
There will be Traffic Officials and Road Marshalls across most intersections around the Ironman race route who will be able to provide guidance should spectators require assistance.
