OR land in a sticky situation….
Nelson Mandela Bay motorists are warned to avoid paying their traffic fines through third parties as it could land them in sticky situations if they are caught at roadblocks.
Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality Director of Traffic and Licensing, Warren Prins, said the municipality never appointed any company to collect revenue from traffic fines on its behalf and advise motorists that they will be held fully accountable for the payment of their fines.
Your illegitimate transactions and discounts will not be recognised.
Representatives from these rogue companies are so brazen that we receive reports that they allegedly redirect residents from the Traffic Department parking lot to their premises.
We understand that promises of discounts and other forms of amnesty are dangled before their noses. Please do not be fooled by these rogue operations.
A discount of up to 30% will anyway be considered when you approach our Prosecutor at the Municipal Traffic Court at our Sidwell Offices,& Traffic Chief Prins said.
Traffic fines can also be paid via the municipal website at the following link http://www.nelsonmandelabay.gov.za/Council.aspx?pageID=191 or in the municipal bank account via banks.
