The popular Town Lodge Business Night Relay returns on the last Tuesday of the month for some unique action packed team building fun for corporates, clubs, schools and friends. With 4 race nights on the last Tuesday evening of May, June, July and August, the increasingly popular Series offers great prizes and a welcome evening of fellowship in the comfort of the VIP Lounge of the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
Gather your friends and colleagues for a running team of 5 persons or a walking team of 3 persons and come take part in the Series where each team member is required to complete a 3.5km lap within the stadium precinct. The stadium Lakeside gates open at 4pm for teams to collect their race numbers and team baton(s) with the races starting from 6pm and concluding with the lucky draw prize giving at 8:10pm with all participants receiving an ice cold Score Energy drink at the end of their lap as well as great food and beverage being available by the stadium caterers.
There are categories for the all Men’s, all Ladies and Mixed relay running teams as well as a walking category with floating trophies and winners medals for each. Gamble Pharmacy from Uitenhage are the undisputed depending champions with both their Men’s and Mixed teams holding the course records. The Series is ideally suited to the social wannabe runners/walkers who are keen to socialise with their colleagues whilst enjoying a casual 3.5km run/walk through the stadium, making this Series unique in South Africa.
Entry fee is just R500 per running team, R300 per walking team and discounted options are also available for teams wanting to sign-up for all 4 race nights in the Series as well as Corporate packages which include VIP parking and Food/Beverage vouchers for the team members.
