South Africa’s bad momma of comedy, Tumi Morake and comedy’s modern traditionalist Ndumiso Lindi are back at The Boardwalk this June. Bringing to The Bay their hilarious collaboration, Married… But Not to Each Other, on 30 June.
The show is inspired by a funny moment shared with a customs official during one of their comedy adventures. The official asked “Are you married?” Ndumiso quickly replied: “Yes”, realised what he was saying and added: “But not to each other.” And thus began the comical journey for this wife and husband of other people.
The show is a hilarious take on the roles and regulations of marriage and the pothole-laced roads the sexes have to navigate. It’s not just about marriage. It is about the world that these marriages have to survive in.
Married…But Not To Each Other has been touring the country to sold-out venues and will be running for one-night only on 30 June 2018 at The Boardwalk Amphitheatre. Tickets are priced from R150 per person at Computicket. The show carries a PG16 age restriction. The show starts at 20h00 (doors open at 19h00).
