Executives will come together in Port Elizabeth next week to learn about the effects of positive practices on organisational performance and positive leadership from world-renowned American expert and co-architect in the field of Positive Organisational (POS), Prof Kim Cameron from the University of Michigan.
Hosted by Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University‘s School of Industrial Psychology and Human Resources in association with the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber, the second annual Executive leaders Forum Positive Organisational Scholarship (POS) Conference will provide business leaders and their executive teams with “‘the what” and “the how” of POS.
Positive Organisational Scholarship, POS, is a new leadership approach which assists not only employees to flourish but also teams, families or individuals. It has become a major focus for organisations and empowers leaders to create positive work environments, improving the culture of their workplace and helping them discover what is possible with their employees and within their organisations.
According to local POS champion, NMMU‘s Dr Johan Schoeman, POS principles create a generative business setting and acts as a catalyst in the discovery of human potential. POS also encourages the focus to be on the strengths, rather than the weaknesses, of employees

The conference takes place on Thursday, 22 May from 08:30 to 16:00 at the NMMU Conference Centre, North Campus.
