Experience a bit of Cape Townish in the new 1054 Building…
On Thursday evening the who’s who of PE attended the opening of the new 1054 Building in Main Road Walmer – boasting an eclectic mix of tenants the space is light, airy, modern and very inviting. Exposed i-beams, galvanised conduit, metal and wood complement the soaring building close to Walmer Park. Ample parking at the rear and in front are a bonus.
Hello! It’s Me, was the venue for the opening of the newly built 1054 Building, which they occupy. The new spot is steadily capturing the hearts of Nelson Mandela Bay with its excellent service, its stunning views, interesting layout and wide variety of healthy soul-food.
Hello! It’s Me has an array of free-range, organic and overall healthy meals, freshly made beverages and signature sweet treats. Along with these offerings, there is a retail section with Food and Lifestyle Books made available for sale, and authentic decor that was all provided by local Nelson Mandela Bay Interior Designers and Ceramists.
The vision for the establishment was centred around creating an environment where people could gather with family, have business meetings, or even enjoy it on their own. The sophisticated restaurant was operation-ready and started serving patrons in the middle of this month, and although the initial execution stages were gruelling due to the level of excellence that they were aiming for, Hello! It’s Me General Manager Michelle Bailey said that it has been an incredibly rewarding project.
“It is one of the most rewarding projects that I have ever been privileged to be a part of,” Bailey said. “We have a clear vision and objective, at the core of which was adding even more value and luxury to the booming Hospitality Sector in Nelson Mandela Bay, and that’s what we’re determined to do. Seeing this vision come to life and translated through our products and services, along with the opportunity to provide employment, is the most rewarding highlight for me,” she added.
Head Chef Lisa Scheepers shared her sentiments of excitement by adding that “the opportunity to create aesthetically appealing meals using fresh, ‘superfoods’ is almost unreal because I never imagined that the demand for healthier alternatives would ever be this high, it’s unlike anything I’ve ever been involved in and I’m loving every moment of it.”
