Two Port Alfred detectives appeared in the local magistrates’ court yesterday on charges of defeating the ends of justice and perjury. Detective Constables Luyanda Tambo (34) and Abongile Gcaba (29) were arrested on Friday night in a sting operation in Port Alfred. During the month of May, Goldwater Preparatory School and Little Explorers Preschool held a Book Drive to collect books for their newly opened school library. On 27 May 2016 they had a Book Character Dress-Up Day to celebrate. Great fun was had by learners and teachers alike.
