The Southern Amateur Provincial Rugby Tournament is an annual tournament that is hosted by a different Rugby Province of SARU. Boland hosted the tournament last year. Eastern Province Rugby Union were given the right to host this tournament earlier this year. The dates are 24-29 August 2014 and will be hosted by Kouga Sub Union (Humansdorp) on behalf of EPRU and ultimately on behalf of SARU. The original paint race, The Color Run, gave thousands of locals and visitors the time of their lives today as the event transformed Port Elizabeth into a myriad of colour and happiness. It’s official – women changing a tyre is hot!

Recent research from ContiPartner amongst male motorists has uncovered that men find a woman who can change a tyre super hot (69.45%). Just over half (59%) of the respondents said that if they saw a female changing a tyre they would insist in offering assistance. And for the single ladies, 15% of men said they would stop and offer their number rather than help. But most frightening of the findings, was that a quarter of respondents wouldn’t stop to help fearing it might be a trap or a potential highjack opportunity. SAAF Museum celebrating Spitfire progress

The PE SAAF Museum reached an important milestone with the installation of the propellers for the full scale model SAAF Supermarine Spitfire IX. The project, which started in March 2010, is being built for the museum by the Woodpecker Trust, the Friends of the Museum and volunteers. The project has been possible thanks to the support from the SAAF Museum, donors, local and international visitors as well as technical experts.
