Celebratory gift(s) close to my heart at the Inkanyezi 20th Birthday Bash – a water bottle made from recycled glass, vegetarian starter and a calendar to remind me just how great the year will be.
Lots of praise for Inkanyezi CEO, Andrew Binning and his team on 20 years in business in Port Elizabeth.
Their first job was a road show to 14 cities promoting Disprin .
“We are a bunch of entrepreneurs with a lean and mean team,” said Binning.
Binning thanked all present that included present and past employees, suppliers, clients and strategic stakeholders. “Thank you to one and all,” concluded Binning.
Randall Jones paid tribute to Inkanyezi saying that in order to be in business for 20 years demonstrated a unique ability at forging long term relationships.
Congratulatory video messages flowed in from as far as Portugal, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Pretoria, Poland, Dti, Convention Bureau, East London, Amatola Water Board, India, Johannesburg, Russia, Durban, SACI, Malawi, Mexico, Malaysia, Paris, Sandton….
Chairman of the Inkanyezi Board, Alfred Da Costa gave the vote of thanks.
“This Celebration is like a gathering of friends and speaks about the nature of the leadership driving this business and it’s relationships,” observed Da Costa .
“Businesses of this nature are personality based and Andrew and Deon Engelke have more than demonstrated that they are masters at that.”
“The honesty from both is exemplary. To Deon and Andrew please don’t lose that.”
“Andrew has incredible tenacity and in the South African context more of that trait is needed.”
“I have learned quite a bit from both Andrew and Deon who built this business from nothing, maybe less than nothing!”
“Andrew and Deon are good examples of entrepreneurship and leadership and congratulations from me,” concluded Da Costa.
Happy Birthday Inkanyezi from MyPE.
