M-Net Studio 53.
They were at ABYC the whole of yesterday doing a piece on our Sailing Coach, Kabelo, as he trained school children from Motherwell and then when he was training with our Lipton Cup boat.
Good bunch of guys (and a girl - Kudzai) who were being transported by Luvo Ndima from Jama Tours
Firefly can fill you in with where they went on Friday.

The tv crew, as ABYC said, is from Studio 53 on DSTV. It shows on Saturdays and Sundays on the MNET series channel and during the week on DSTV throughout Africa. The show is similar to Top Billing and Pasella. Apparently it has a HUGE following throughout Africa. The presenter of the two inserts the filmed is Kudzai Sebenzo. A native from Zimbabwe, it was her first visit to the Friendly City and she was hugely impressed.
The first insert they filmed on Friday was a travel insert on Nelson Mandela Bay as a holiday destination. The started at Hobie Beach and the pier, went to Red Location Museum, Market Square and the Donkin Reserve. We then went to Seaview Game Park to get the presenter to play with the cubs before going to the Boardwalk for Centrestage's "Toast". The day was perfect in every way and the crew was hugely impressed with the city and everything it has to offer.
The second insert was the one on Kabelo at the yacht club.
I will find out when the inserts will be showed and keep everybody up to date.

Kudzai is a singer with one album under her belt and one in production. I asked her to send me links to her as yet unfinished web site so that we could give her a little bit of support from our humble part of the world.
Enver (producer) went on the Rubber Duck with me - a first for him.
Dennis, the cameraman and local PE resident, promised Enver a trip on his Racing Duck this morning - but, with the rain I don't think that that happened.
Well done Firefly, let's hope that it is all good exposure for Port Elizabeth.
